If this was all I got from the Voodoo Amps mods then I would have been completely satisfied but the clean tones are a lot better also, which is a huge plus for me because I'm in 2 bands now. The distortion is so smooth yet also aggressive and in your face. I've gotten other players commenting me on my tone at every show I've played since I got the amp back. Customer Feedback "This amp in it's stock form was bright and noisy. But was great for lead playing and had a better than average clean. I asked Trace to get me close to the 80's metal tones. He delivered.
This amp is a blast to play thru. It's very responsive and does the 80's things very well. I also have a Bogner Uberschall and still this amp see's a good amount of playing time. A couple of other HC forumites have heard this amp and seemed to like it a lot. DeanBCR, Wrightdude and Cybil spoke highly of it at AF III in Culpepper. I have no regrets and highly recommend Trace. If you own a Laney and feel that it could be better send it to Voodoo amps ASAP. You'll be glad you did." - Harmony Central Review
Customer Feedback "The gain channel is so much smoother now making it a lot easier to play over all. The amp sounded cool to start with but it's a whole new animal now (all for the better). We play in smaller clubs with a 75-150 capacity and my amp sounds unbelievably good at lower volumes. I used to have to crank it up to hear myself and the rest of the guys in the band would tell me to turn down.
