Customer Feedback  You wanna talk tone? My Marshall with the AFD Mod has more punch and chunk that I could ever hope for but its not super compressed like most. I checked out other modders but I didn't hear the classic Marshall mids in their clips, which I really like. Everything I've heard from Voodoo had the mids I like and the AFD Mod has the quintessential Marshall mids that made Marshall so well known. Why the hell can't Marshall make an amp like this right out of the box?? Your tone and customer service really are seconds to none.  Andrew Sinclair, CA

Customer Feedback  This is a tone machine times 10!! I wanted to capture the Welcome To The Jungle tone along with Paradise City and its spot on. I have a few Les Pauls as well as a new Charvel and it kills with all of them. I'd figured this would be a one trick pony but how wrong I was. This baby cleans up so good it's hard to believe its a modded Marshall. If you like Slash's tones in the late 80's or even on the Illusion records - get the AFD Mod! Long live Voodoo!"

Customer Feedback  My tone has arrived and I have never been so inspired to play like I am right now.  Ted Palmer, CA

Customer Feedback  My other Marshall has the HG-Jose Mod and I had the free cash so I shipped my lest favorite Marshall to try the AFD Mod, I don't need 2 identical amps. Yes it does GnR well but I also use it for straight up blues, clean tones and edgy or slightly broken-up cleans. I can also get the Lynch tones from the earlier records, older Ozzy, Sabbath and some of the Motley Crue territory. Put a pedal on front and I can take it any where my heart desires.  John Begley, AZ

Customer Feedback
It's now been modded with a much needed Master volume and separate gain control and bright switch. As well as new Mercury Magnetic trannies (power & output) and choke and Voodoo amps circuit upgrades for their ADF Mod. No frills, no bells & no whistles but boy does it sing, roar and buzz saw!!!!!! Even though it's obviously geared towards a particular genre such as Guns (think Sweet Child, etc.), Angus Young etc but it's by no means a one trick pony and cleans up beautifully when asked.

The upgrades have made this amp absolutely sing. It is now much easier to play and more fluid. It's much more sensitive to pick attack and it's got that roar (only more of it). The gain circuit has added extra flavor over and above the usual Marshall allowing for real heavy buzz saw type sound. Pinched harmonics are pretty easy to get right and the feedback is now much more controllable and I find myself playing around with it as much as possible.  TM0099, Harmony Central Reviews

Customer Feedback  The Slash signature series Marshall is cool and I get close to Slash's live tone but there was always something missing. I hunted down a paid crazy money for an original Jubilee. Yeh it was better than the signature model but it still didn't feel spot on. I bought a plexi reissue and sent it to Voodoo for the AFD Mod. They put in 2 Gain controls and a Master Volume where an input jack used to be. There are also bright switches for each Gain pot which makes a pretty big difference on both the top and bottom end (tighter or looser). For the studio tones I use the Winged-C's that Voodoo put it. For the live tones the KT88's are cool but expensive compared to EL34's.

Customer Feedback  As advertised bends are easier, the bottom end is full and the pinch harmonics are amazing. String to string definition is very impressive and the sustain is sweet. I also own a copy of the supposed #39 that Slash used. It is pretty close but the Platinum  AFD Mod just has "it". God bless Trace and his crew as I must have sent 20 emails and they never once made me feel rushed or like I was wasting their time. They were honest about what they could and couldn't do and it was one the best gear related experiences I've ever had.  Rich Howe, IN

International support   I was in touch by e-mails and telephone with Trace at Voodoo Amps for almost three months prior to deciding to take the plunge. Trace is quite possibly the most patient, diligent & nicest person I've spoken to. He answered all my nit picking, neurotic questions (and we're not talking one word answers, I still have all the e-mails we exchanged). Trace runs a tight ship and his other departments don't let him down. I have to mention Cindy here who handled all the shipping and forwarding matters smooth as you like which was a bit complicated as I am an international client! Thanks. In my experience the service from Voodoo Amps was second to none, period.  TM0099, Harmony Central Reviews
