We use VoIP phones & have since it was first introduced several years ago. It seems there has been an intermittent software bug. IE: some phone calls would go through fine while others would go straight to voice mail without the phone lines ever ringing. More over were we not receiving the voice mails.

We just spent the better part of a hour on the phone with tech support & after testing the system at great length it seems that the problem has been resolved. If you have a problem getting through (607-256-0465) please email us here on Facebook so that we can address it immediately. Our apologies to those who were not getting through & we thank you for your continued support.

Good News - Things have been very busy here at Voodoo Amps & we’ll pick back up on posting shortly. We hope you have a great Thursday & an even better weekend! – Voodoo Amps

Extremely Rare! – This is a one-of-a-kind Pre-Production Voodoo Witchdoctor that was born in 2003 & you’ll never see another logo like this as this is the only one! It recently made its way back to our shop for a check up & it was a blast from the past for us!

LOGO – Towards the end of 2002 we were experimenting with some different kinds of logos as we were trying to decide what kind of logo we wanted to use for our production models. We released a limited run of ‘badge’ style logos that appeared on a select few production models. The logo in this photo was a one-off concept from a local metal fabrication company located in Ithaca, NY. After much feedback we chose to go with the more popular ‘Circle-V’ logo, which we have been using ever since.

This amp is a one of a kind as it is contains a Heyboer power transformer, a Mercury Magnetics output transformer & a Fender style choke. This was the first & only amp that used a mixed transformer set. IE: After this amp was made we began exclusively using Mercury Magnetics transformers.

Hope you enjoy this pic!

Voodoo Amps 3-Position "Bright" Switch - Can be added to most amps & greatly improves versatility. Aside from brightness these switches also effect low end, crunch as well as gain / distortion & how the amp feels. These are typically tied to a "Gain" or "Volume".

Settings;
#3 – Maximum Brightness
#2 - Warmest Setting / Control is bypassed
#1 - Medium Brightness (Brighter then #2 & less brightness then #1)

IMPORTANT - The “Bright” switch affects the tone a few different ways;

  • On a scale from 1-10; When Gain pot is set to 1 the tone will be brightest
  • As you slowly make full rotation around pot the Bright switch will begin to have less & less effect
  • When Gain control is set to "10" there is no audible difference but you will feel a difference on the low end. IE: it will feel tighter/crunchier
  • Set to 12:00 the tone will be crunchier
  • When Bright switch is engaged the amp will feel tighter / harder to play on

Average Price: $49.95 - $69.95 depending on make & model

This is a 5150 / 6505 Series amplifier. We have added these switches to Marshall's for many years as well as Mesa's, Fenders, Vox & many others.

Voodoo Amps was officially born in 1998 in a small, spare room in my apartment. Since founding the company, we have expanded our shop five times, which includes our present 7,000 sq foot facility here in Lansing, NY. Our goal over the past 16 years has been “continued growth while providing best-in-class customer service."

We, at Voodoo Amps, are blessed that our business has continued to grow, and we want to send out a big THANK YOU to each & every one of you!  If it was not for you, we would not be here and I mean that with much sincerity.

I felt it important to share with our customer base that we have recently brought on a few key people to better help us manage our continued growth. Over the years, I have worn many hats, and have enjoyed every minute of juggling a myriad of responsibilities.  However, as the old adage goes, ‘there are only so many hours in a day’ and recently, I have found myself faced with a few difficult decisions regarding business commitments and time constraints.  The success of our company has forced me to reevaluate where my time is best spent.

My passion has always been working on amps, designing new modification and products, as well as working hand-in-hand with Artists. Those are my strengths and where my heart is at.  In order to continue to provide the highest level of continued customer service that we can, I wanted to communicate the following changes with you all.

Many of you are already familiar with Cindy Davis.  She will be maintaining our social media presence, including our Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest pages & our forum.  Maintaining a connection with our customers has always been important to me, so please know I will be checking in on our social media outlets and posting as time allows.  This will allow me to focus on what I believe I am best at, while at the same time improving our level of customer service, such as reducing lead times.

If you have any questions or concerns that require immediate attention, please call (607) 256-0465 Monday thru Friday, 9am-5pm EST / NY Time. Or e-mail us via our website.

In closing, please know it continues to be my greatest honor to work with you on your amps, and to help you achieve the best tone possible. I would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to each and every one of you for your support. You rock!!

Sincere thanks,
Trace Davis – President / Founder
